I’ve found a website selling Fred Perry and think it might be a scam – how can I tell?
The only official Fred Perry websites are fredperry.com, fredperry.jp (for Japanese customers) and fredperrykorea.com (for South Korean customers).
Any other website exclusively selling Fred Perry and operating with “fredperry” within their primary URL (e.g. cheapfredperry4u.com) is not operated by, or with the authorisation of Fred Perry and we strongly recommend that you do not place any orders on it.
There is a significant risk that it is a scam or phishing website where you will be charged for your order but never receive anything. Common red flags to look out for include a lack of information about the company that is operating the website, spelling mistakes, and prices too good to be true.
If you have fallen victim to one of these websites, we recommend reporting it to your credit card company as they may reimburse you depending on their policy. We also recommend reporting it to your local law enforcement’s online fraud division - in the United Kingdom this is the National Fraud & Cyber Crime Reporting Centre - https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/reporting-fraud-and-cyber-crime. We would also appreciate your letting us know about it, by contacting our Customer Services team.
Your best defence against fraudsters is to only purchase product from our official websites or from official Fred Perry stockists. If you would like to check if a specific website or store is an official Fred Perry stockist please refer to our shop finder for Fred Perry stores and selected stockists, or contact our Customer Services team here.
